The celebration of World Statistics Day 2020 is a global collaborative endeavour, organized under the guidance of the United Nations Statistical Commission after five-year starting from 2010. This third World Statistics Day will be celebrated around the globe on 20th October 2020 with the theme “Connecting the world with data we can trust”. This theme reflects on the importance of trust, authoritative data, innovation, and the public good in National/Regional statistical systems.
In this regard, the Bureau of Statistics (BoS) Punjab is going to celebrate the event officially at the forum of the Planning & Development Board, Govt. of Punjab Lahore. The main features of the celebrations are as under:
- A Symposium on the theme “Connecting the world with data we can trust” at the Auditorium of P&D Board on 20th October, 2020. Govt. Departments and Academia’s will be invited for a talk on the theme.
A poster presentation, related to the Theme of World Statistics Day 2020, by BoS Officers will be arranged at BoS Headquarters Office Johar Town on 21st October, 2020
